School

I had a terrible day at school. Partly because I was totally exhausted by the making of the chinese lantern the day before and thus I could not focus in school, especially in Geography. Also, I am really stressed out when teachers say" You guys are way behind time and the tests are in 2 weeks time". Oh no. What if we can't finish the syllabus on time? What if I fail this test? Ok, now that I am writing this post, I feel like I am turning into...AhemJoe.

Geography is probably one of my weakest subject and our Geography teacher actually did not come last week! So, I find it rather difficult to cram the information into my brain. Just need to find a way to remember everything. Sigh

Strange vehicles

I have found many strange vehicles from this folowwing website: http://www.diseno-art.com/encyclopedia/strange_vehicles/strange_vehicles.html

The first vehicle I am going to introduce is the WaterCar Python. This car is capable of travelling at very high speeds on both land and water. Having a Dominator Jet Drive propulsion unit, it can move up to a speed of 60 mph on water. This car is actually on sale but is only built when it is ordered with different interior and exterior designs.

Looks like a snowmobile? Similar, but no. This Platune sand-X bike is made from a snowmobile but with modifications so tha
t it can be used on sand dunes instead on snow. Modifications include skis which have been replaced with wheels and a radiator which sits out at the front of the vehicle.

The segway P.U.M.A is a prototype revealed in April 2009. The P.U.M.A takes up less space, uses less energy and is produced more efficiently by using less parts. Its aim is to allow people to travel more quickly, safely, quietly and cleanly - and at a lower cost.

Japan's Shinkansen ( bullet train)

martinjapan.blogspot.com

This is Japan's fastest high-speed train and it connects most of the major cities in Kyushu. Ever since it has opened in the year 1964, it has extended to Tokyo as well. When it first opened, the Shinkansen can already travel up to 2ookm/h but nowadays, it can travel up to 300km/h!What is even more amazing about this is that you would not even feel like the train is travelling so fast when you are in it. Also, for the comfort of the commuters, they provide food on them, and even a person catering drinks in a trolley, moving from carriage to carriage.

Below are a few types of shinkansens in Tokaido/Sanyo :

1. Nozomi: These trains are the fastest trains as they only stop at major stations. It travels between Osaka and Tokyo in approximately two and a half hours!

the Nozomi train
2. Hikari: These are the second fastest trains, stopping at only a few more stops than the Nozomi. It takes approximately 3 hours to travel between Osaka and Tokyo

3.Kodama: These trains are the slowest of all as it stops at every single station.

I have been on some of these Shinkansens on my previous Japan trips. The train is really comfortable and I dare say some are even better than a aeroplanes. There are really nice seats and their services are great too, the conductors always with a smile on their faces. Not only that, when you get onto the train, you would even be greeted by the staffs on the train. From my point of view, the Shinkansen is even better than a plane. It has spacious seats, friendly staff and even a toilet nicer and bigger than the plane's.

First week, first post

The first week of school have finally passed. It was not so bad actually, being able to see my friends again. As a matter of fact, I prefer the schools hectic and packed but organised lifestyle more than the holidays. During the holidays, I would tend to think that I have alot of time left before school starts and thus slack. And at the end of the day as I try to recall what I have done today, I realise that another day of my life had just been wasted. Therefore, as school starts, I will try to make the best of everyday.

Alright, back to the main topic. This blog shall contain episodes of my daily life as well as various informations on...vehicles. Yeah, since I could not think of anything else, I shall be writing on vehicles like cars, trains, planes from around the world.
